_55A1677_1During our stay in Aguas Calientes we took a 4 day refuge at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. Inkaterra is a Peruvian organization that is celebrating 40 years of experience in sustainable tourism initiatives. It focuses on preserving Peru’s nature and cultures and sharing them with the world. This hotel offers an escape from the daily grind with its quiet simplicity cast away in the Peruvian rain forest. The property is surrounded with its own organic tea plantation, bird sanctuary as well as the orchid gardens. A new rush of day tourists can be seen from the hotel’s lobby while sipping on Pisco Sours, arriving to the nearby train station.
